« Converting CO2 into something useful »

Le lundi 09 Juillet 2018, à 11h, salle 774 du bâtiment Lavoisier

Abstract

The electrochemical conversion of CO2 provides a platform for utilizing inexpensive renewable electricity to convert waste greenhouse gasses into products of value. CO2 electrolyzer technologies are, however, in their infancy compared to water electrolyzers. This presentation will outline our development of gas and liquid phase flow cells (i.e, lab scale pilot cells) that show how CO2 can be converted into products at the high current densities needed for commercialization.
